If you're anxious or scared,
sedation can help you get through that.
We use pills where you just take
and swallow a pill,
and then we do IV sedation.
IV sedation
is going to be easier to control,
to get you to the right level
and maintain you
at the right level of sedation.
There's benefits with the IV sedation.
The pill sedation, it takes a little while
for that to go through your system
and then be broken down
and then in your bloodstream.
It's not as controllable.
Some people react different to it.
They might need a different dosage,
but it would take another hour
to get that in.
The IV does, it's more controllable.
While you're under sedation,
we will still numb the areas.
We'll still do the injections,
but those injections will be done
while you're sedated with little
to no awareness of those injections.
Then the procedure will be
just as any other procedure is.
You won't be aware,
and you won't feel at the same time.
After sedation, you can expect
your recovery to be drowsy.
There's a small chance to be nauseated,
but most of the time,
it's just drowsiness,
and that wears off a few hours later.
